A full-stack engineer who has built in Taiwan
I'm an independent software engineer who spent years building and leading an engineering organisation from Taiwan. I co-founded an interactive live-streaming platform, wrote its first line of code, and grew its team from three to around fifty — so I know what it takes to ship demanding, real-time products from this part of the world, and to work across the Asia–Europe gap.
For companies and founders in Taipei — especially international and expat-founded startups — I bring senior full-stack engineering and the experience of having actually scaled a product, not just maintained one.
What I do
I build production systems end to end: typed TypeScript across backend and frontend, Node and Postgres, React on the client, real-time layers, and cloud infrastructure as code. I'm comfortable owning a feature or a whole service, embedded in your team or running with a clear brief.
Why remote works here
Having led a distributed team across timezones, I treat remote work as a discipline, not a compromise: visible progress, clear writing, and overlap planned around the people who need it. I can hold APAC hours and still meet European partners in their morning.
Recent work
My case studies include the live-streaming platform I co-founded and led from Taiwan through to an acquisition, alongside product and platform work for European companies — linked above.
Let's talk
I take freelance engineering work remotely, in English, with APAC and Europe coverage. Tell me about your project.
